I was 8 when The Wonder Years first premiered on television and became an instruction manual for my teenage years. It was and remains my favorite show, and in my young mind the main character, Kevin Arnold was a glimpse into my future. I didn’t have any older siblings or a nerdy best friend, but looking back I probably took on Kevin’s grumpy angst more than I realized.
